These rumors originated from a Twitter account that shared a lot of untrue developments earlier. Rumors later spread and became spoken by the entire cryptocurrency Twitter community.

However, Fox Senior Correspondent Charles Gasparino clarified that these rumors were unfounded after contacting the SEC’s public relations department.

Gasparino tweeted that he was trying to get a response from the SEC spokesperson regarding the rumors of Gensler’s resignation, but “I’m sorry but what?” He stated that he received a surprising response. Repeating his question in the same speech, Gasparino stated that he did not receive an answer in this speech.
Two hours later, Gasparino announced that he had been reached by the SEC public relations department and learned that Gary Gensler had not resigned, as expected.
